What it does. NAC replenishes intracellular cysteine, enabling increased glutathione synthesis. This is the same mechanism used clinically in acetaminophen overdose treatment — restoring glutathione to protect liver cells from oxidative injury.

What it is. Glutathione is the body's most abundant endogenous antioxidant and a critical substrate for Phase II detoxification. The S-Acetyl form is stabilized for oral absorption and intracellular delivery.
